I have never seen this in person, but I have heard that it is scarier with the lights on than it is with them on.

I am surprised that they did not get mad at the guy. Love hot one
I have actually ridden part of this ride with the lights on too. They were having trouble with the ride and so they turned on the lights and had us ride the rest with the lights on. I thought it was so freaky to see how close the bars were to me that I no longer hold up my arms on this ride for fear of losing an important part of my anatomy!
