Our favorite waiting spot
This is the perfect place to get out of the sun to wait for a fast pass or whatever.... This spot will be forever remembered as the spot where Kristen starts her wild sprint up the Space mountain line rattling chains as she goes. Good MemoriesDisney Railroad
This is one of the 3D dioramas on display as you take the round trip train. This was one of my favorite parts of the park because I was crazy about dinosaurs. I especially liked the part where the lava appears to be flowing from the volcano and the two dinosaurs are fighting...Disney Fire Dept.
Here is a little bit of trivia for you. Walt Disney had the space above the Fire Department converted into his own private quarters. Sometimes he would spend the night there when he had late nights working at the park. One of his favorite things to do was to inspect the park in the morning before it opened and filled with people. After he died the living space was kept pretty much for family use. the lamp in the window above the garage stays lit in honor of Walt's memory. You know someone is in the apartment if the fire carriage is pulled out of the garage because it gets noisey in the apartment if they don't. You can find pictures of his quarters if you google it. Sometimes people get to have lunch in there when they win member's only contests.
